Britains Farm Toys Celebrate 100 Years
Posted on
Britains farm toys are a household name for families throughout the country, who have grown up playing with and collecting tractors, implements, farm animals etc.
This year Britains are celebrating 100 years since the first farm toy was introduced to the market. To mark the occasion a limited edition Fordson Major (100 years anniversary edition) has been produced.
The Fordson Major is a replica of the first tractor that Britains produced, originally released during the late 1940’s, when tractors had begun to play an important role in the changing farming industry.
2021 “is 100 years since William Britain introduced the model Home Farm, a collection of 30 farm figures and animals complete with his first farm vehicle, the ‘4F’ Tumbrel Cart”(1).
The 100 years anniversary Fordson Major model tractors are limited in number to only 7,500. Of these 100 have been produced with gold plating.
Available to buy in the UK this summer, a must have item for any toy farm collector!
